Short Bio

 

Corey Lamont Feimster, known professionally as HIZson da Poetic, is a recording artist, poet, author, and media entrepreneur from Flint, Michigan. He first emerged in 2008 with the release of Run, a Christian hip-hop EP that blended lyrical urgency with a call for spiritual transformation.

Armed with a graduate degree in Education Guidance and Development, Corey’s passion for people has extended beyond music, serving as a youth and ministry leader, community advocate, and voice for family restoration. In 2016, he founded AllDay Edify LLC, a faith-based media platform, and released his debut book, Leave Me Alone, But…Don’t Leave Me!, a transparent reflection on relationships and spiritual/emotional emotional growth.

By 2021, Corey expanded into TV production with AllDay Edify THE SHOW, airing on Roku’s Sundial Network. Formerly known as Cognac (Young Yac) in the secular rap world, Corey now channels his talents to uplift, heal, and edify through purpose-driven music and storytelling.
